My name is Cerys and I have just graduated from the University of Birmingham with a Liberal Arts and Science degree, majoring in Chemistry. I will be working as an Evaluation Assistant Intern to find out what projects young people would like to engage with from Art at the Heart, and how they would like future projects to be delivered.
Although I have studied mostly sciences, art has always been a big hobby of mine. I think that being artistically creative really encourages innovative thinking and problem solving in the sciences and beyond, in addition to improving mental health and well-being. So, I am excited to be working with Art at the Heart to help shape their future approach.
Before University I worked in sport development for 18 months on projects aiming to re-engage young people with PE and sport and to empower them to become young leaders. I hope to apply my experience and knowledge from the sports industry to the arts sector, and develop some captivating new projects for Art at the Heart.
