Following on from our popular term-time clubs, we’re introducing a BRAND NEW one-week Holiday Camp! For children aged 8-12, who have a love of creative adventure and learning through fun.
Welcome to A Week in the Life of an Artist!
A week of creative fun, personal discovery, and personal development – Swap PlayStations and mobiles for Summer Camp!
Let children explore, enjoy and express themselves through creativity: they will develop visual vocabulary and emotional intelligence, feel empowered and have FUN! From creating gigantic artwork to building experimental and immersive habitats, each day’s activities will engage and empower children to become the best, and most creative version of themselves. Full programme details will be available to download soon.
Yes, they’ll be making amazing art, but the benefits of joining our camps are far broader and more wide-reaching:
Making art is fun! – research shows that making art for just 40 minutes can reduce stress levels in most people
Creativity – art teaches you to observe closely and notice things – this is the first step towards creativity
Learn new skills – Children are encouraged to discover their own creative talent in a fun and supportive environment.
Thinking outside the box – We will guide them in developing their visual problem-solving skills and look at new ways of using familiar materials to develop a sense of adventure and exploration
Cognitive learning – we take ideas from one theme and apply them to new themes hence deepening memory and retention capacity
Self expression – Art is an essential form of self-expression, and our holiday camp provides opportunity for children to develop their artistic voice and build self-confidence.
All the above are transferrable skills which increase young people’s employability. NESTA cite collaborative problem solving skills as the most important tool to equip young people with, for jobs that may not yet exist in a rapidly changing workplace and uncertain future.
Cultural capital opens doors. We believe every child has the right to benefit from arts-rich experiences.

Feedback
Just wanted to give you some feedback on the excellent arts club you and your team are running at the Core in Solihull. For a starter, as suggested above, the club is just excellent. We love your enthusiasm and creativity, and your inspiring nature has had such a positive impact on the confidence of our son, Tomas. He loves art, and he has decided that he wants to become an artist when he grows up. We also love the way you inspire him to lead. This is such an underestimated skillset in schools these days, and something that helps grow his confidence in himself and his own abilities. In the future, such nurtured skill sets will no doubt come in handy, not only for Tom, but also for the wider society. People like you guys are rare, please keep on doing what you are doing!
Please read the booking terms and conditions, and read the code of behaviour policy with your child before booking. By booking a place you are agreeing that you have read and understood and will abide by both the terms and conditions and the code of behaviour policy.
