As we continue our Project Hanami theme, exploring the Japanese celebration of spring, we’re bringing you this dedicated origami workshop.
Origami is the Japanese art of paper folding, a mindful and creative practice. This workshop will help you develop skills of precision, manual dexterity, and experience working with 3D objects. We’ll teach you how to interpret instructional diagrams, and the final product will be a delicate origami flower for you to treasure.
The materials required are simply thin paper of any sort or colour, (you could use origami paper if you have it), and a pair of scissors. Feel free to re-use scrap paper or magazine pages.
Suitable for all ages and no previous experience necessary.
This FREE workshop is funded by Art at the Heart CIC for Creativity and Wellbeing Week.
