A word from Serena, our Eco Champion!
Hi, I’m Serena. For my Duke of Edinburgh Award, I’m volunteering with Art at the Heart with a focus on promoting sustainability, a topic close to my heart.
Christmas is a time of joy and giving, but like many other festivals, it can also be a time of wasteful consumerism. We wanted to focus on being kind to our planet by re-using, recycling and reducing our consumption.
Together, we came up with the idea of an eco-friendly Advent Calendar to get our community and beyond thinking about the ways we can have a Christmas that doesn’t cost the Earth.
