ArtLab for Curious Minds
Creativity • Curiosity • Independence • Experimentation • Developing Artistic Skill
A year-long course of creativity, experimentation, developing painting, drawing and making skills and learning from professional teaching artists.
As well as continuing to boost your child’s creativity, confidence, wellbeing, resilience and problem-solving skills, ArtLab starts developing greater independence, promotes personal curiosity and starts introducing volunteering and leadership additional opportunities for your child. All materials are provided except art folders (available for purchase).
"My daughter (who has just turned 13) has been attending art classes at ‘Art at the Heart’ for over 5 years and thoroughly enjoys it. It’s the perfect environment to foster and nurture creativity under the watchful eye of Mukesh and Kamaljit who are the most enthusiastic teachers I think I have ever known! I think many people believe ‘you have to be good at art’ to attend an art class but with Art at the Heart everyone is welcome - it’s more of an opportunity to draw out your creative side and have fun! My daughter is thrilled and proud to have gained her first two Arts Awards qualifications from Trinity College London and is now working to complete her Silver Award. She’s also looking forward to joining the week long immersive art course this summer. It truly is a fantastic experience that everyone should try!"

Arts Award
Arts Award is built into the course. The Awards give children a solid focus for their learning and mark milestones in their achievements. They complement the arts curriculum at school providing a richer and more holistic insight into the world of the creative arts. Children will have the opportunity to achieve Arts Award at either Discover or Explore levels according to age and developmental stage. Bronze Arts Award is offered to those who have already completed Explore. You can read more about Arts Award here.

How does the combined course work?
In this Art Club/ArtLab combined session, your children will follow two different courses. Those aged 7-9, will follow the Art Club course. Here you can give your child the gift of art and boost your child’s creativity, confidence, wellbeing, resilience and problem-solving skills. Those aged 10-13 will follow the ArtLab course. We use themed projects to allow children to experiment with different techniques and develop drawing, painting and making skills. Those on ArtLab will go deeper and broader in their artwork.
